Analyze your Strava segment efforts with AI coaching. SportLogic breaks down pacing, terrain, wind, and recovery for every starred running and cycling segment.
SportLogic’s Segment Hunter turns your starred Strava segments into AI powered coaching insights, so you know exactly what shaped your time.
Every segment effort tells a story. Segment Hunter reads that story for you. Connect Strava, star your segments, and SportLogic automatically analyzes your pacing, terrain, weather, and recovery for every run and ride, then explains what actually drove your result.
Segment Hunter pulls your effort history for any starred Strava segment and breaks it down split by split. It weighs multiple competing explanations for your performance, pacing errors, terrain changes, under recovery, and wind, so you see the real driver behind a fast or slow effort, not just a single number.
Pacing. See exactly where you faded or surged, and whether your effort distribution matches your goal.
Terrain.
Elevation and grade are factored into every split, so a slower time on a tougher section reads correctly.
Wind. Per split wind direction and speed are calculated from live weather data, accounting for how much a headwind or tailwind likely cost you.
Recovery. Your recent training load and recovery trends are weighed against your effort, so a tired legs day gets called out for what it is.
Segment Hunter works across both running and cycling segments, with pacing and heart rate analysis for every effort, and power based analysis on the roadmap for cycling segments with a power meter.
What is Segment Hunter?
Segment Hunter is SportLogic’s AI coaching feature for Strava segments. It analyzes your starred segment efforts and explains what shaped each result, combining pacing, terrain, wind, and recovery data into a clear coaching narrative.
Do I need a Strava subscription to use Segment Hunter?
No. Segment Hunter analyzes your own effort history on segments you’ve starred. It does not require access to Strava’s leaderboard or premium features.
Which sports does Segment Hunter support?
Segment Hunter currently supports running and cycling segments, using pace and heart rate data for both.
Do I need a power meter on my bike?

How does Segment Hunter know if wind affected my time?
SportLogic calculates per split wind direction and speed using historical weather data matched to your GPS track, then factors that into its analysis alongside terrain and pacing.
